AI on the Ballot is a program of Regulating AI, a non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization headuartered in Reston, Virginia. Regulating AI is part of Knowledge Networks, a Washington, DC-based AI governance organization founded by Sanjay K. Puri. Regulating AI won the Shorty Award (Silver onoree, News and Politics, 1 th Annual) for ethical AI governance journalism.

All positions documented come from leaders own public statements with direct links and dates. We do not manipulate quotes or take statements out of context.
Fairness
Every candidate receives identical format, identical access, identical runtime, and identical distribution. Procedures are transparent and documented. All invitations are logged and dated.
Engagement
Conversations are issue focused and designed to help leaders articulate positions fully. No ambush interviews. No gotcha questioning. Topic provided in advance.

AI on the Ballot is co-produced in association with the Geopolitical Insight and Education Foundation (GIE Foundation), an independent policy and research think tank based in Washington, DC, registered as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization. It researches the drivers of instability and how they affect democracies and institutions, and develops policy recommendations for governments, legislators, organizations, and the public. Bennett Iorio, Founder of the GIE Foundation, co-hosts the series alongside Sanjay Puri of Knowledge Networks.
